We know choosing the right secondary school for your child is one of the most important decisions you’ll make. At St John Paul College, we nurture the growth of our students through outstanding academic programs, inclusive spiritual formation opportunities, nurturing Pastoral Care for all students, and a wide variety of extracurricular and sporting opportunities.

Enrolment Policy

The college’s enrolment process aligns with the Diocese of Lismore Catholic Schools' Enrolment Policy and Procedure.

Catholic secondary schools in the Diocese of Lismore use an order of priority for enrolments. See our Enrolment Policy and Fees for more information. 

Applications for Enrolment 

Parents may submit an enrolment application for their child at any time. Please note your application is an expression of interest only. It does not guarantee your child a place at the college. 

Enrolment applications for Year 7 will be opened the year prior to commencement and will be reviewed after the published application cut-off date. All applications will be considered and positions offered based on the enrolment criteria.  The date of submission has no bearing on the outcome of the enrolment.

Enrolment applications for students currently in Year 7 and other students in Years 8-12 are accepted throughout the year and positions are offered based on availability.

Please complete the enrolment application form and attach relevant copies of documentation along with the processing fee of $50.00. 

A $300 non-refundable acceptance fee is charged for successful Year 7 applications and will be deducted from College fees. 

Year 7 2025 Applications

The initial enrolment period for Year 7 2025 has ended. However, we will be accepting and processing late enrolments at a future date. 

For your application to be considered, please ensure all relevant documentation is uploaded including Birth Certificate, Baptism Certificate (if applicable), Immunisation Certificate, NAPLAN and most recent school report.

Does SJPC only accept Catholic students?

Catholic schools are not established to be in competition with the State School system. They are planned, built and maintained to minister to the children of our Catholic parishioners. We welcome children from non-Catholic families and look forward to sharing our faith with them when there are spaces available.

Does SJPC offer scholarships or financial assistance?

Whilst there are no scholarships offered at SJPC, the DLCSL does have financial assistance schemes available for families.

Does SJPC accept academically gifted, special needs or at-risk students?

SJPC accepts all children regardless of their academic ability and provides meaningful instruction so all children can succeed. Children who are gifted and challenged all have a place at SJPC.
