Year 8 has been investigating how popular culture of the 1950s & 60s influenced artists to create artworks that were relatable to them as well as the audience as they reflected their everyday lives. In doing so, our students explored popular party food and created 3D sculptures of them with papier mache. The students also incorporated Pop Art's use of bright colours, enlarging the scale of the object and using an array of textures to create these visually exciting sculptures.
