Year 10 Visual Art students are currently undertaking a Unit of work relating to the annual Archibald Prize and the tradition of portraiture.
Students have been working on preliminary self-portraits in pencil using techniques of tonal realism. They have given consideration to pose, mood and expression. Students have been exploring the essence of character. What makes each of us unique? How to capture a likeness whilst still maintaining an artistic voice.
We look forward to seeing their efforts as they progress into finished paintings.
